Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi welcomed the Japanese American Leadership Delegation (JALD) and the US-Japan Council, led by President and CEO Audrey Yamamoto, for a courtesy call in Tokyo. The delegation, comprising 10 prominent Japanese American leaders from across the U.S., was invited by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the 25-minute meeting, Hayashi emphasized the vital role Japanese Americans play in strengthening U.S.-Japan relations, noting that their contributions have built a foundation of trust and respect between the two nations. He reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to deepening ties with Japanese American communities to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
The delegation expressed gratitude for the invitation and shared their dedication to fostering vibrant Japanese American communities, underscoring their ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural and diplomatic bonds between the U.S. and Japan.
